Supplier Selection and Risk Assessment

 

IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System Standard and ISO 9001:2015 require that you assess the risk posed in your supplier selection..

 

Risk assessments should include a full set of impacts to you and your products.  For example, what impact will transportation play in delivery of product to your dock?  What is the political environment, financial health of the supplier or the capabilities of the supplier's human resources (and the ability to retain key/critical individuals)?  These are just a few of the questions we help you answer.

 

We will visit the supplier, conduct a thorough review of their operations, and ask the tough questions which provide the answers you need to assess the risk to your organization and to your customer(s).  We will work with your purchasing, logistics and Quality departments to make sure you've got the best suppliers and the right documentation for your QMS and quality system registrar.
